Formally trained in acting, directing, vocal music, choral conducting, piano, drawing, and watercolors, Eric is a multi-faceted artist/performer who has been involved in live stage performance since Kindergarten. His theatrical work has been seen in Texas, New Mexico, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and California. He has toured with concert productions across the United States and Canada and abroad in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and Italy.
Celebrating his 22nd year on campus, Eric serves as Professor of Theatre & Humanities and Artistic Director of Theatre at Lone Star College-Kingwood. He has received state, regional, and national recognition for his directing & his dedication to teaching has also been recognized throughout his teaching career:
Eric is a guest vocalist for the Kingwood Big Band and Kingwood Pops Orchestra. He is frequently seen as emcee for events at LSC-Kingwood and around the community. He is also in high demand as a UIL One-Act Play critic judge and a Kennedy Center-American College Theatre Festival play respondent.
Eric earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting & Directing from Texas Tech University in 2003. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education (Texas Tech University '93). He taught theatre, music, art, and speech in the Texas public schools for 7 years – teaching all levels from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
